Indian passport is a proof of nationality, issued by Government of India to Indian Citizens, for the purpose of international travel. There are three categories of passports, clearly distinguishable by their appearance -
Regular passport (Blue cover): Regular passports are issued to individuals for ordinary travel like business trips or vacation. They contain 36 to 60 pages.
Diplomatic passport (Maroon cover): Diplomatic passports are Issued to top ranking government officials, Indian diplomats, and diplomatic couriers.
Official passport (White cover): These are issued to individuals who are representatives of Government of India and are on official business trip.

Documents Required for New Passport Application
Adult Passport
- Residence Proof : Any two of the following
- Voter card,
- Nationalized Bank Statement of last 13 months,
- Water/ Electricity MTNL/ BSNL Bill (for current year and previous year),
- Gas Connection Copy
- House Tax
- Registry & Power of Attorney each one year old,
- Certificate from Employer on PSU letter head (for Govt. Employees),
- Ration Card (in case of ration card, one more document is required)
- Date of Birth Proof : Any one of the following
- Birth Certificate from Municipal Authority (Compulsory Born after 26 Jan 1989),
- High School Mark sheet. In case high school certificate is missing then FIR/NCR from the nearest police station to the area where document is lost or Affidavit (SDM verified Affidavit) need to be provided.
- An Affidavit sworn before a Magistrate/Notary stating date/place of birth as per the specimen in ANNEXURE ‘A’ by illiterate or semi-illiterate applicants.
- Date of Birth Proof certificate from the school last attended by the applicant
- Passport Size Color Photographs (6 Nos.) with white background
Passport for Minors
Passport for Minors is handled by our Company. Minor’s age is 1 Day to 18 Years. Minor Passport is issued only for 5 Years
- Parent's Residence Proof : Any two of the above mentioned residence proof documents
- Date of Birth Proof : Birth certificate issued by a Municipal Authority or any office authorized to issue Birth and Death Certificate by the Registrar of Births & Deaths
- Passport Size Color Photographs (6 Nos.) with white background
Passport for Spouse

Tatkal Passport
Tatkal passports are also known as emergency passports or expedited passports in India. This program is started by Government of India to facilitate a quicker issuance of passport than the normal procedure. Applicants need to pay additional fee for tatkal passports.
Tatkal Passport Program is applicable only in the cases where no police verification report is required (i.e. minors with less than 15 years of age) or where past police verification is sufficient (i.e. re-issue of/duplicate passport without address change, Government servant and spouse with NOC etc.)
Tatkal Passport can be issued both, as New Passport and Re-issue of Passport.
